How we work
Our process
We want you to feel informed and at ease at every stage. Here's what working with us looks like.
Process steps
Get in touch
Reach out through our website enquiry form, or send your intake and consent forms directly to admin@altogetherpsychology.co.nz. We'll be in touch to talk through next steps.
Initial consultation
We begin with a consultation session of around an hour. This is a chance for us to get to know you, understand what's happening for your child or whānau, and make sure we're heading in the right direction together.
Time to consider
After the consultation, you'll have time to reflect on the service or services we discussed. There's no pressure — we want you to feel confident before moving forward.
Making a plan together
If you decide to proceed, we'll work with you to create a clear plan so you know exactly what to expect at every stage. No surprises — just a shared path forward.
Ecological assessment
Our assessment approach looks at the whole picture — both what's happening within your child and what's happening around them. This always includes conversations with the important people in your child's life, alongside observations and direct assessment where appropriate.
Building lasting change
While we can work directly with your child, our focus is on equipping you as a family — and those around your child, such as teachers and social workers — with the knowledge and tools to keep the benefit going long after we've finished.
