Services for children, teens and families in Feilding

Support for children and teens

Support for children and teens

Support for children and teens

We can provide individual support for older children and teens. This may be to work on building understanding and finding strategies to manage a range of concerns, for example, social skills, anxiety, anger, or school problems.

Younger children and preschoolers are usually best supported through a collaborative approach, providing support and strategies to the adults who are closest to them.

Parenting support

We can work together to build understanding of parenting and behaviour strategies and develop a realistic and practical plan for your parenting in a non-judgmental and supportive way.

Your child's learning

Support for children and teens

If you are concerned about your child's learning, we can work with you to assess what may be going on and make a plan for supporting them. This may involve home and/or school visits and individual assessments.  We can work with your child's teacher or other professionals to keep everyone on the same page.

What to expect

What to expect

The first meeting is generally for the adults only. This is so we can talk openly about what is going on for you and your child and develop an understanding of their needs.

The format of subsequent meetings is flexible, and may involve only the child or teen, parent and child, or a combination.

Meetings are one hour in duration.
