Ever heard of the phrase 'two heads are better than one'? Collaborative planning allows for sharing of specialist knowledge within a team, to tailor an intervention plan more effectively toward a child's needs. This process ensures that the perspectives of all those involved are taken into account, including the perspective of the child, family, school, and other professionals. As well as involving the sharing of specialist knowledge, collaborative planning processes help to make sure the intervention design is practical for the family or school, therefore increases its chance of success.
Our psychologists have a large knowledge base relating to support for behaviour, anxiety, emotional regulation, social skills, school support, mental health, disability and more. We can offer specialised knowledge in these areas to help ensure the intervention plan meets the individualised needs of the family or child.
We acknowledge that we are not the experts of your family. However, within collaborative planning sessions, our psychologists can offer practical advice and implementation strategies which may be suited to the child or family, or be a sounding board for your questions and concerns.
